II-VI in Järfälla, Stockholm is looking for a RF Design Engineer to join our Component Design Team, covering both RF design and device performance evaluation. As a RF Design Engineer, you support the development of leading-edge semiconductor optoelectronic components (Photonic Integrated Circuits, PICs) at our Järfälla facility. As a RF Design Engineer you will become part of a great team with vast competence within optoelectronics. You will have an important role contributing to the development of new products and securing our leading position within optoelectronics.
THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Evaluate device performance, with focus on RF and signal integrity, to support the design optimization and verification process
* Develop and specify test methods and procedures for RF and signal integrity evaluation
* Participate in the design process during product development, and contribute with design solutions
* Actively contribute to product and technology improvement
* Support product optimization in manufacturing phase
* Produce relevant technical documentation to make sure we support and secure know-how in the company
* Actively seek information and keep yourself updated on new technologies
* Interaction, on daily basis, with on-site teams across multiple disciplines
IN ADDITION...
You will become part of a competent team consisting of nine engineers and you will report to the Manager Component Design and Simulations. The job requires working on site, in a test lab with requirements on cleanliness and ESD control, and for a fraction of the time in a clean room environment.
WHO ARE YOU?
We 're looking for you with a MSc (or higher) within electrical engineering, applied physics or physics. You have knowledge within RF, optoelectronic devices, high-speed electronics or semiconductors. Hands-on lab experience is a requirement for the position. If you have experience within Test and Measurement, it is an advantage. Since you will be a part of an international company, very good knowledge in English, spoken and written, is a requirement for the position. Knowledge in Swedish is an advantage.
Personality-wise you are independent and good at taking initiatives. You are a competent problem solver with the ability to communicate. If an obstacle occurs that you don 't find your way around, it comes natural for you to get in contact with others to advance the problem solving process. You are good at cooperating with others and enjoy being part of a team where you have daily interaction with others.
