Are you a seasoned Compensation and Benefits professional and open for the challenge to enter one of the most exciting Rewards roles in the region at the moment?

We are building a new regional Rewards team for the Nordics and are currently looking for a Rewards Manager to fulfil this key role. The Nordic Rewards team is part of AkzoNobel' s global Center of Expertise Rewards. In this role you will work closely together with others in the CoE Rewards as well as with the Nordics HR organization. Your key role is to assist in the design, implementation and communication of all compensation and benefit programmes within the region. Overall, the CoE Rewards is a vital function to help our company attract, engage and retain the right people with the right behaviours to drive growth and long-term value creation.

The Nordics Rewards team will be a team of two. As the Rewards Manager you will have a Rewards Specialist reporting to you. Together you will be supporting all of our businesses in the Nordics, of which the majority is based in Sweden.

In this role the main duties and responsibilities will include:
• Lead the roll out, communication and local implementation of the Annual Compensation Process salary and bonus review cycle and ensuring all business meet the global guidelines and timelines.

• Drive harmonization of employment terms and conditions within the region.

• Manage job evaluation for the region in line with the global job evaluation process.

• Manage employee benefit programs (pension, medical and risk benefits) for the region and supplier management.

• Deploy rewards capability building to regional stakeholders, such as HR, managers and People Services.

• Consult and advise on collective bargaining process with unions and works council.

• Develop and drive Rewards projects and initiatives for HR Nordic colleagues and AkzoNobel managers - ensuring alignment with AkzoNobel Directives, Rules and guidelines.

• Ensure local compensation, incentive plans and benefits are benchmarked on a regular basis to ensure competitive compensation and benefits for AkzoNobel in the Nordics.

• Provide statistics and compensation and benefits analysis and advice to HR and management to facilitate recruitment and retention, acting as the region's credible and trusted remuneration & benefits expert.

• Ensure that all local benefits renewals (and any new benefits) are project planned and renewed in collaboration with stakeholders and the strategic intention of the company (Global Benefits Manager, Legal, Risk and Compliance, Payroll).

We are looking for you with the following background:
• Degree in Human Resources, Legal, Finance or other related areas.

• At least 5+ years of relevant experience in compensation and benefits, preferably in a multinational business environment.

• Knowledge and experience in job evaluation, preferably using Hay methodology.

• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements and experience with works councils, union relations and negotiations.

• Very good knowledge in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and other relevant HR IT systems.

• You are fluent in Swedish and English both written and verbally.

To be successful in this position you need to like to be partnering up and take the lead within a wide business spectrum. As a person you have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and you are able to drive results and achieve goals through influence. Good negotiation skills are required, as well as a strong sense of urgency, attention to details and exceptional teaming and collaboration skills.
