The Revenue Accountant at Tacton will be responsible for managing customer invoicing, reviewing customer contracts for compliance per IFRS revenue recognition rules, and maintaining the accuracy of customer accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and fast learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has IFRS experience, enjoys performing research, is driven to improve workflow processes, and possesses strong soft skills to coordinate cross-functionally.
You will be part of the four-person accounting team and will report to the Global Accounting Manager.
What you will do
• Create billing schedules and manage customer invoicing in accordance with customer contracts.
• Create revenue schedules in accordance with IFRS.
• Review customer accounts monthly to ensure the accounting system is matching salesforce master data including accurate billing information, tax, and activity status.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and variance analyses of relevant balance sheets and P&L accounts.
• Reconcile actual revenue with forecasted revenue together with internal stakeholders.
• Manage monthly dunning runs and liaise with customer success managers and customers' Accounts Payable departments to address billing issues and ensure timely payments.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance billing and revenue processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Workday Superuser and propose and implement enhancements to streamline workflows.
• Provide support during internal and external audits related to billing and revenue processes.
Requirements
• You have experience in handling customer invoicing with a bit of complexity. Experience in SaaS business is a merit.
• You have hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably in Workday or other object-oriented database systems.
• Experience in Salesforce is a great merit.
• You have both theoretical and practical knowledge in accounting and have been part of reconciliations in monthly closing. Experience of working in an accounting firm is a merit.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• Good documentation skills.
• As Tacton Group is international, it is important that you can communicate fluently in English, spoken and written.
