My name is Tori Newman, and I am the Country Home Furnishing & Retail Design Manager at IKEA Retail Sweden, Service Office in Helsingborg. Our team is specialized in different areas within home furnishing and retail design (HF&RD) and together we are responsible for positioning IKEA as a key home furnishing influencer.

WHO YOU ARE
You are an experienced leader, inspiring and leading others in a situational leadership. You enjoy being both strategical but also operational in your role.
You have broad expertise in Interior, graphic and shop design and the trends that influence them in the market. But also, knowledge of trends that influence home furnishing, retail design and communication to create a commercial and visually strong product presentation in our stores. Furthermore, you have broad knowledge of the methods for presenting the range and service range using store media, display techniques and store layout as commercial tools. You are motivated by increasing customer value and thinking customer first in all customer meeting points.
You are energized by driving business growth and contributing to overall success of IKEA through collaboration with different stakeholders and global matrix. You lead projects, prioritize, and make decisions with speed and simplicity. We believe that you have great communication skills to be able to create and retain relationships within the organization.
Off course you are passionate about the unique IKEA range and living by the IKEA culture and values.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will lead and inspire the Retail Solution team, a diverse team of about 20 people. You will challenge them to take actions that exploits commercial opportunities both in the short and long term while securing relevant and inspiring range presentation, an optimal store layout and effective and efficient store communication that builds the IKEA Brand and distances IKEA retailers from the competition. Furthermore you will;
• Lead remodeling initiatives for existing stores SISAN, (Store In Shape As New), to make sure developments are in line with the IKEA identity and to optimize commercial opportunities
• Act as a member of the HF&RD (Home Furnishing & Retail Design) team and proactively contribute to the HF&RD plan/output to deliver to the common objectives and goals while supporting global initiatives and business priorities
• Actively cooperate with key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and to maximize impact (for example Digital, Customer Fulfilment (CFF), Communications, Sustainability, Business Navigation Operations & Finance (BNOF), People & Culture)
• Secure that the country Commercial team has the right understanding of the store layout, range presentation and store communication to contribute to the development of all customer meeting points
• Contribute with measuring the performance of product presentation and design to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, and to ensure performance excellence throughout the year
• Conduct Commercial Reviews
