We are now looking for a Responsible Sourcing Manager that is passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility!
The Global Hygiene Supply (GHS) organization contributes to making SCA a highly successful global hygiene company by having the safest, most efficient and lowest cost product supply base. Within GHS, the ambition of Global Sourcing is to be recognized as the driver for best total costs for SCA. Global Sourcing will thereby drive down total costs by managing a sustainable and competitive supply base utilizing appropriate sourcing strategies, processes and resources which support the needs of the business.
This position will support SCA long-term profit by creation of positive public relations and high ethical standards in Hygiene’s supply chain and support to reduced business and legal risk related to supply chain.
Secure that suppliers to Hygiene are aligned with SCA business demands for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), including sound business practices, good working conditions and respect for human rights. Furthermore drive and secure successful implementation of Global Sourcing’s Supply Chain targets to assure an ethical and social compliant supplier base.
The position is located in Gothenburg and you will report to Sourcing Director CSR (reporting in to Sourcing Director SQM)
Main Tasks
Support in the development and implementation of Supply Chain targets via close collaboration with Group Function Sustainability (targets connected to SCA Group Sustainability targets)
Act as a “centre of excellence†and “competence centre†regarding CSR questions related to the supply chain, in order to secure competence building and commitment/involvement from of all Global Sourcing teams to drive a CSR agenda
Close collaboration with Strategic- and Operational Sourcing teams and SQM team to assure suppliers’ compliance with SCA demands for CSR. Includes suppliers to adhere to SCA Global Supplier Standard within the area Responsible Business Operations. It also includes support to get suppliers registered in Sedex and initiation of ethical audits in high risk areas for Human Right’s violation (audit execution by 3rd party solution)
Develop and implement procedure and tools, to be used by Global Sourcing teams, to secure ethical compliance from new and incumbent suppliers. Also includes development risks assessment procedures related to social- and ethical performance of suppliers
Support with chain of custody reviews and risk mitigation activities related to supplier and supply streams identified with high CSR risks
Keeping up-to-date with the sustainability agenda, new legislation and best practice guidelines and understanding of how they may affect the organisation.
Support to Business Units with specific customer (e.g.Retailer Brand) questions and demands related to ethical compliance of SCA Hygiene’s supply chain
Run CSR training of Global Sourcing teams and other internal stakeholders (as relevant)
Assure close and pro-active collaboration with Group Sustainability Function, Business Units and Product Supply to work efficiently with Corporate Social Responsibility throughout the supply chain
Reporting of supply chain performance into Dow Jones Sustainability Index and other relevant Sustainability indexes
Participate in cross functional teams, e.g. Code of Conduct Network, Social Responsibility Committee
Key Competencies
Minimum 5 years’ experience from practical Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability activities related to supply chain. Experience from Supply Chain and/or Sourcing is qualifying
Formal Auditor exams according to ISO13485, ISO14000 and SA8000 is qualifying
Education within relevant field
Proven track record of successful execution of supplier ethical assurance activities in either Sourcing- or Sustainability organization, with close relations to customers and suppliers
International work orientation and experience with demonstrated leadership skills/networking ability
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong analytical competence with advanced Microsoft Office skills
As part of the GHS team working in an international environment it is also required that candidates are prepared to travel minimum 50 days per year.
