Position Summary
Mental Health in Mind International AB (MHiM) is seeking to hire a Communications Responsible to coordinate our external communications. Our communications centers on current as well as new partners implementing a school-based mental health promotion program, YAM. This position plays an important role in MHiM's efforts to develop and grow relationships with institutions and organizations implementing YAM. A deep understanding of YAM is needed for successful implementation and this work is consequently training oriented. As youth advocates, our commitment to empowering young people resonates in all our work and communications.
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in communications and public relations for a similar organization and wide-ranging interest in all forms of intellectual activity as well as a passion for interdisciplinary engagement and social impact. You will be joining a small team of co-workers with backgrounds in pedagogy and public mental health.
About MHiM
MHiM is a R&D company created with support from Karolinska Institutet Innovations AB, based in Stockholm, Sweden.
MHiM is the exclusive distributor of the Youth Aware of Mental health (YAM) program. YAM is an evidence-based mental health promotion and suicide prevention program for young people ages 13 to 17. In YAM young people discuss and role-play topics related to mental health. Please see the attached sheet for more information about the program.
MHiM is based in Stockholm, but YAM is implemented worldwide. There are active YAM sites across Sweden, in Australia, Germany, India, Norway, Spain, the US, and the UK. Sites are responsible for the implementation of YAM, but a close and active communication with MHiM is needed for support, training, and monitoring of the implementation.
Tasks
The work will be split into a number of tasks, including some predetermined ones, but there will also be an expectation to create new ones. The work largely falls into the following two categories:
Development and communication with external contacts and ongoing monitoring of new and current YAM sites:
Continuous monitoring and support of YAM implementation, making sure manuals and procedures are followed in sites across the world.
Manage site-specific projects (organization of courses and workshops, cultural adaptation, etc.) according to our timelines and guidelines.
Help sites set up a structure for a stable and sustainable implementation.
Create a plan for site priorities to streamline the work.
Keep regular communication with sites to offer support and monitor their procedures.
Support sites through ongoing troubleshooting and response to queries.
Make sure that sites are using up-to-date materials
Support sites in recruiting suitable local personnel.
Track and collect data from ongoing implementations.
Organize site visits.
Respond to queries from prospective new sites.
Work with new sites to evaluate the feasibility of implementing YAM.
Provide support in site administration and negotiations (explaining contract, resources needed, costs).
In person training and/or presentations of the YAM program.

Manage the development and formalization of communications strategies:
Develop a suitable communications strategy for MHiM.
Understand the target groups of MHiM and create appropriate messaging.
Ensure that all communication and related materials conform to MHiM goals.
Identify procedures and materials that are missing for above work to be completed.
Contribute to creating content and materials for presenting YAM to new sites.
Responsible for roll-out of updated YAM materials to active sites.
Responsible for social media, blog posts, newsletter, and analytics.

Skills and Qualifications
A successful candidate for this position has:
Curiosity and the ability to learn a wide variety of areas quickly; a passion for going beyond your area of expertise.
Interest in the topic.
Excellent analytic and communication skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Swedish (we are a bilingual workplace).
The ability to juggle competing priorities and demands across a wide range of projects.
Project management skills.
Comfort with a fast-paced working environment and setting individual deadlines and taking a lot of individual responsibility.
Communications experience in a field related to MHiM's work or at a comparable institution or organization.
Strong writing skills: an ability to fulfill copywriting, copy-editing and proof-reading deadlines independently and in a timely manner.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the digital working tools that we use (Dropbox, Asana, Google Docs, Zoom, Wordpress, Mailchimp) as well as basic Indesign skills.
At least one year of work-related experience in public health or youth work.

Commitment and contract
One-year fixed term contract, with possibility of renewal
100% position
Possibility of hybrid work. Working days/times in office are flexible and negotiable but at least 50% in person time at the office on Karolinska Campus in Solna is required.
General and occupational pension benefits (allmän pension - tjänstepension)
