The group
Sustainability at Commercial Operations is a small team within Business Transformation dedicated to removing obstacles for and supporting increased sales of our more sustainable product and services portfolio. We also coordinate Sustainability in a more general sense within the business area and our main focus is to act as a catalyst for Scania to drive the Shift to a more sustainable transport system, better for business, society and the environment.
We are now extending our capabilities and are looking for you who will take a bigger responsibility in the environmental work, including (but not limited to) a more systematic and focused effort on management systems for our environmental impact. You will be a part of a team working dynamically both in terms of stakeholders and in terms of business areas.
The role and your tasks
Sustainability is a truly cross-functional topic and it affects everything we do. This is a job for you who like being part of an exciting business driven environment and prefer variation. We develop training programs and e-learnings, help create activities like the Scania Climate Day, reengineer processes and systems support to enable more business and develop roadmaps to get us to the ambitions in our 2025 Strategy. The weight in this new role will be to work with responsible business and coordinating and implementing a system for managing environmental impact at Commercial Operations.
Your profile
You will report to the Head of Sustainability at Commercial Operations and are expected to able to work independently, take initiatives and to focus on end-results. The role will give you the possibility to network extensively across business areas and across geographies. We work closely with the Sustainability Managers and Management teams globally and good communication skills are a must. We are at the forefront of business transformation and the ability to maintain a mindset of "outside-in", whilst also coaching, convincing and training is a key success factor: Sustainability and Profitability do go hand in hand, but it is not always easy to see.
You speak English fluently and any additional language is meriting. You have a technical, business or environmental engineering university degree and have experience from working with environmental management systems like ISO14001 or similar. Experience from working in a commercial and/or services network is a merit.
