The Stockholm-based fashion house has begun an exciting new chapter with the appointment of Liisa Kessler as Creative Director alongside a range of new international talents across the company. With stores in key European cities such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Berlin, an ecommerce presence in over 70 markets, and over 200 employees across Europe, Filippa K continues its journey of global expansion guided by a mission of mindful consumption.
As Responsibility Manager:
You are responsible for Filippa K's social and environmental compliance, driving us toward key targets on human rights due diligence, animal welfare, chemical compliance, and certifications. Your areas of responsibility are social and environmental compliance and certification management (supply chain traceability). You will be tasked to jump right in, re-set our processes and update our policies, ensuring that both the internal teams and external stakeholders are motivated and able to find better ways to collaborate and bring change to the industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate commitments within Fair Wear Foundation; help Filippa K to achieve "Leader" rating.
Plan, participate and follow up on social audits and supplier training and engagement.
Drive projects around open costing, living wages, and worker education in partnership with suppliers.
Coordinate seasonal supplier evaluations and scoring on social compliance.
Update and maintain Filippa K's code of conduct, supplier guidelines, RSL, and other policies.
Manage sustainability certifications processes in collaboration with other departments and external certification bodies.
Stay updated on animal welfare and traceability/certification standards for materials.
Follow developments on scientific research, legislation and policies, innovations, as well as external collaborations and supports around social, chemical, and general compliance.
Participate in related external partnerships (e.g. Leather Working Group, Kemikaliegruppen, etc.), be an ambassador for our brand.
Collaborate with Sustainability and Fabric & Product Development teams to motivate but also to have a technical approach to integrate data and inputs around social compliance and certification management into our existing systems (PLM, Trustrace, etc).
Travel to suppliers or conferences as needed.
The experience you'll bring to the role is:
Experience working with social compliance and environmental certifications, as well as in fabric/product development or sourcing.
Knowledge of labour rights and working conditions in production countries; understanding of global supply chains.
Chemical knowledge and experience with RSL.
Creative thinker and motivated leader who wants to challenge the current system and inspire change in the industry.
Strong communication skills in written and spoken English. Ability to simplify complex information and motivate teams and external stakeholders.
Experience with PLM systems and excel.
Strong project management skills; results driven.
Academic degree in sustainability, textile technology, or another relevant field.
