Dina arbetsuppgifterThule is a world wide company with Original Equipment (OE) and After Market (AM) customers in several countries. Manufacturing and supply of tow bars is based in Netherlands and France. Company language is English and all work will be internationally influenced. The OE Development team is located in the Netherlands, in Sweden and in France.
In the OE Development group in the Netherlands today there are 5 engineers working on multiple developments for our OE customers. The working tools are Pro/Engineer (CAD) and Pro/Mechanica (FEA). There is also a fully equipped workshop for prototyping as well as a measuring room with digital measurement devices and dynamical test equipment. Due to some organizational changes we are looking for a Project engineer who is based at Thule in Hillerstorp - Sweden and works 3 to 4 days a week as a resident engineer at VCC accessories development department in Gothenburg.
As a Resident Engineer, you are the main technical contact towards VCC from the first design discussions in a preliminary state of the car design till phase out of production. Based legal, technical and commercial demands from both Thule and VCC, you will be designing tow bars, bumper covers and carrying solutions and managing the development projects through the Thule organization in the Netherlands. You will participate in project teams and might be coordinating subprojects with a high innovative content. You will be working on new developments and making improvements to our existing products and systems. The emphasis is on design, reliability and customer satisfaction, and you will work together with colleagues from your own and other departments, within Thule and VCC.
Through your professional knowledge, social skills and enthusiastic charisma you know how to motivate your colleagues. In your engineering role you will be creating the first technical specifications in 2D/3D CAD, FEA analyses of strength and durability and you will be looking for innovative solutions applicable to be used in the specific car designs. With the assistance of a supportive engineer from NL you will run the complete design process till start of production including final validation of the design through a compiled test program.
KvalifikationerYou are a graduated mechanical engineer from Higher Technical Education. You have a practical, demonstrable interest in mechanical engineering. As a CAD and preferably FEM engineer you have experience within the OE Automotive, where you have worked in multidisciplinary project teams. You control construction in both 3D and 2D (preferably Pro/ENGINEER) and can perform strength calculations with FEM (preferably Pro Mechanica). Preferably you have experience working as a resident engineer. You are a results oriented team player with a healthy dose of perseverance and you have good communication and convincing skills. You control the Swedish and English language well both in writing and speaking.
