What you'll do?As the Resident Engineer you will have an important role by being our technical interface between Veoneer and the Customer Engineering teams. You will be our customers first point of contact and your main task will be to conduct trouble shooting and problem-solving activities. In addition, you will test as well as maintain our latest Software and Hardware component in our customers test equipment. In the role as Resident Engineer, you will also provide high-level analyses of customer design issues and perform and control the problem resolution processes in relation to customer error reports. You will drive the internal management of customer and internal error reports as well as permanent improvements by applying lessons learned processes. To be able to accomplice your tasks you will also support our test team with system specific testing support and participate in customer testing campaigns.

You understand the different roles in the project and what you, as a whole are all trying to accomplish. At the same time, you are used to and enjoy driving your own work forward and work independently. You are used to providing high-level analyses and want to find "the cure for the disease instead of the symptom" when working on permanent improvement, since you're a highly quality and safety driven person
The role requires you to work on customers location, it is therefore important that you have a good understanding of customer relations, that you are customer focused, knows how to build trust with the people around you and have excellent communication skills. Since you're used to working in international environments you're no stranger to the English language or communicating with people from different parts of the world or functions. Although, being able to communicate in Swedish is highly merited
Level (diploma) required:
• Post-secondary education in Electronic or similar
Other required skills:
• Experience as a Resident Engineer
• Experience within System Test
• 3-5 years' experience within automotive product development is highly merited
