hela Sverige Given the background described above, the objective of this new position is to contribute to the further development of the research within the area of production development, specifically focusing industrialization and production system design and with the overall objective of achieving scientific excellence in all we do. The position is placed and managed within the Division of Product Realization. The position as Researcher for nearest time includes:
• To execute and document research within the EQUIP project including driving co-operation with the partner companies
• To manage relevant research projects and activities within the MITC initiative, focus area production, and further organize seminars and other activities for the MITC partners
• To initiate and contribute to applications for financial grants in order to ensure sustainable growth of the research group Product Realization at MDH
• To act as co-supervisor of graduate students in INNOFACTURE within the specific focus mentioned above and further participate in development and execution of corresponding graduate courses
• To actively participate in the undergraduate education and it's development at Mälardalen University within product- and process development.
• To contribute to enhanced scientific rigor and documented scientific contributions such as highly ranked publications and supervised exams
• Develop personal scientific and pedagogical skills in order to merit to associate professor (docent) at MDH.
The person must have a PhD degree within the area of production development, with a scientific depth in industrialization and production system design. Since the position implies extensive co-operation with industry, documented industrial experience is a necessary merit. The applicant must be able to give personal references to prove the ability of participating and co-operating in and with work teams from different organizations. International experience is advantageous since the position implies application for e.g. EU funding. The language in writing and speech is mainly Swedish and partly English, the applicant must give proof of good own performance in both languages for the described position.
The person must have documented ability to collaborate and the competence and suitability as are needed for the position. The assessment of teaching skills should be given as much attention as the assessment of academic skills.
The candidate must be able to provide references that demonstrate an established network within the area of product and process development. There is an advantage with proven experience in seeking and obtaining research funding for different types of projects. The candidate must also have own knowledge on undergraduate level from most of the following areas within product and process development:
Product development, Engineering Science, Production systems design and simulation, Production strategy, Industrialization, Operations management, Supply chain management, Project management, Lean production and Competitive production systems.
The person should have pedagogical skills according to MDH requirements required for lecturer, and must be able to give personal references for good quality in teaching on undergraduate level.
