Our Exciting Opportunity
We are looking for a new member in our standardisation team! At Bunsiness Unit Networks Standards & Technology we secure technology leadership in Radio Access Networks (RAN) by actively driving New Concepts, Standardization, SW- and HW Research, Architecture and Testbeds. Technical focus includes 5G evolution, IoT, Automation / Machine Learning and Security. The position is in the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) RAN4 standardisation area and with focus on defining the UE RRM (Radio Resource Management) framework for 5G.
You will collaborate in a cross-organisational team and have opportunities to learn and work with top industry researchers on the latest technologies. Our team is distributed globally, with its base located in Stockholm.

You will
Represent Ericsson as RAN4 delegate in 3GPP for the RRM area
Develop and drive UE RRM concepts for new 5G features in 3GPP RAN4
Draft 3GPP contributions to RAN4, evaluate internal and external standardisation proposals, and coordinate with internal research and product development teams
Communicate results, a very important aspect of the work we do!


To be successful in the role you must have
University degree: MSc, PhD or equivalent
Industry understanding, ability to develop strategies and prioritize activities
Excellent knowledge of wireless communication standards, e.g. LTE and NR
Substantial experience in defining radio performance and RF requirements in 4G/5G RAN
Excellent networking, collaboration, communication and innovation skills with high energy and motivation
Knowledge and hands-on experience working with state-of-the art simulation tools


Additional requirements
Experience from standardization, research, product development or customer relations are considered valuable merits.
