hela Sverige DNEW Systems & Technology is responsible for securing future technology leadership for the Ericsson Development Unit Networks (DNEW). A part of achieving this is to perform broad RAN and transport concept development for Mobile Broadband and beyond, typically impacting product decisions and design in the 3-5 year perspective. Systems & Technology also manages Ericsson's projects for standardization of radio and transport networks in 3GPP, MEF, IEEE, ITU, BBF and so on. Our concepts & standardization projects are staffed broadly by DNEW product development units, Ericsson Research, and by our own staff.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic security engineer to join the team developing leading security concepts, solutions and architectures addressing the operational and business needs of future telecommunication networks. In your role you will work in an international team of world-class researchers with different backgrounds and experiences including some of the key authorities and thought leaders world-wide. You will also interact closely with development units and research to ensure technology competence exchange, technology leadership, and profitable business in areas of expertise for Ericsson by:
Contributing to Ericsson technology strategy
Developing novel concepts, solutions and algorithms
Introducing the solutions into product development
Presenting prototypes, concept demonstrations and publications.
Responsibilities:
Perform, document and communicate research studies, measurements or computer simulations.
Create new technical solutions to be used by billions of people world-wide.
Represent Ericsson in external fora such as standardization, university collaborations, and customer meetings.
Supervise and coach other researchers.
Develop research strategies.
Develop evaluation tools, demonstrators or test beds.
Innovate.
Your Qualifications:
Education: M Sc or equivalent or PhD or Licentiate degree.
Practical experience within telecommunications or IT security is an advantage.
Understanding of 3GPP telecommunication networks and protocols is an advantage.
Technical Experience:
Practical experience and fluency working with securing and security features in cloud platforms and virtualization environments such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack.
Experience developing secure and resilient applications using VMs and containers.
Experience implementing and/or using technologies for:
Secure bootstrapping
Key Management System
Identity and Access Management
High availability deployments
Intrusion detection/prevention system
Attack avoidance strategies
Software integrity verification and authentication
Security Information and Event Management systems, e.g. Splunk, AlienVault, ArcSight
Experience with hardware security technologies, such as TPM, HSM, ARM TrustZone, or Intel SGX.
Knowledgeable in secure software development practices.
Familiarity with performing risk and vulnerability assessments.
