Swedwatch is an independent, non-profit organization reporting on Swedish business relations in developing countries. We cover different sectors and focus on social and environmental concerns.
Swedwatch is a watchdog, a whistle blower and a lantern. We investigate human rights breeches and blow the whistle when necessary and push companies to act according to international standards and be pro-active. We also seek to spread best practice cases and give seminars in order to constantly raise the bar in the area of CSR.
The overall goal is reduced poverty and sustainable social and environmental development in the South. A sub-goal is to minimise the negative footprint of businesses and instead see improved contributions leading to positive impact through our research connected to CSR, human rights and the environment.
Titel: Researcher/project assistant
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
You will be working as a project assistant/researcher in a kapacity building project relating to the garment industry in Bangladesh. The work will partly be carried out in Dhaka, Bangladesh and partly in Stockholm.
When neccessary you will also assist in administrative work or other research work relating to human rights and environmental impacts of Swedish businesses in developing countries.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
• Speaks Bengali and English (both languages are required)
• Preferably speaks and writes in Swedish
• Merit if familiar with LFA and RBM
