hela Sverige Are you ready to embark on an exciting opportunity in the field of Power Electronics research? Do you aspire to work at a renowned research institute that paves the way for innovation? Then you might be our next team member!
About us
Join our System Integration unit within the Smart Hardware department, where we conduct applied research and development in power electronics, electronics packaging, and reliability.
Our projects span across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, energy, and transportation, both nationally and internationally.
About the role
As a Researcher in Power Electronics, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with our power electronics team, seamlessly interacting with other teams within the Smart Hardware Department and RISE. You will also engage with power electronics networks in Europe and Asia. Your responsibilities will involve leading and participating in projects within the field of power electronics research. This includes tasks such as design, manufacturing, process and method development, as well as testing and verification of power electronics at chip and component/module levels. Additionally, you will be responsible for seeking new research project funding and leveraging our unit's expertise in power electronics to engage with industry partners.
You will play a key role in expanding our power electronics business, particularly in the Asian market. The position is based in Kista, Stockholm, with occasional travel required for conferences and project meetings. The electrification of society and the demand for efficient electrical energy transformation make power electronics a crucial technology for the future. By joining our team, you will become part of one of Sweden's leading groups in wide band-gap-based power electronics. You will actively contribute to the exciting expansion of expertise in this area to meet future industrial needs. At RISE, you will have the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between industry and academic research, allowing you to develop new technologies and ensure their successful implementation in products and market introduction.
Who are you?
As a Researcher in Power Electronics, we are looking for someone who is cooperative, stress-resistant, self-motivated, and meticulous. The ideal candidate should have a master's degree or equivalent in electronics, material science, or a related field. It is essential to have expertise in power electronics at the chip and/or component/module level. In addition, experience with measurements, tests, and characterization of power electronics chips/components in laboratories is highly valued. Proficiency in both spoken and written Korean and English is a requirement for this role.
While not mandatory, having a large existing network of power electronics contacts in Europe and/or Asia would be advantageous. Experience in transistor design, specifically at the semiconductor level, is also a desirable qualification. Moreover, fluency in Swedish would be an additional asset.
Are we right for each other?
We cannot promise you an easy task, but we can promise you dedicated colleagues and some truly engaging societal challenges to tackle. You will get to work in a dynamic environment offering professional and personal development opportunities. At RISE, we want you to succeed and feel good, because together with your colleagues you contribute to a sustainable future and to securing a leading position for our industry and research globally. RISE can give you the chance to make a real difference. Welcome to one of Europe's leading Research Institutes and Innovation Partner.
