Job description:
The content of the employment consists mainly of research. The research area is synthetic organic chemistry, including NMR and GC-MS analysis and carbocation catalysis. What is more, chemical ecology and development of synthetic pathways applications in insect pest control is also included.The employment can also include teaching and supervision on different levels.

Qualifications
Qualified to apply is a person who has defended his/her doctoral thesis in Organic Chemistry, or in other way has acquired the equivalent scientific skills. The successful candidate should have a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, especially characterizing target molecules using NMR (incl. 2D analysis) and GC-MS analysis. The candidate's experience should also cover carbocation catalysis and their studies, utilized in region- and stereoselective reactions preferable by using transition metal catalysts with allenes and of ion complexes with chiral helical indole structures. Strong interest in chemical ecology and with a specific interest to develop synthetic pathways (e.g. cyclic chiral vinyl ethers) for applications in insect pest control is also required.

The successful candidate should have previous experience from reputed universities, and should have the ability to work as part of a team and possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English. The required qualifications should be evidenced by strong international publications record in the field.
