Here we have the research specialisations of Educational Sciences and Mathematics. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with preschools, schools, banks and companies, municipalities and public authorities in the region.

Position description
This position as researcher is within the research environment in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics MAM. The overarching objective is to strengthen the internationally well-known research in non-commutative geometry and algebraic structures lead by Professor Sergei Silvestrov at Mälardalen University. Primarily, the researcher will be engaged in research on n-ary hom-algebraic structures, quantum deformations and generalizations of color hom-Lie algebras, quasi-Lie algebras and their applications. The researcher is expected to actively cooperate with other researchers in MAM on joint publications in this expanding research field, organize seminars, conferences, attract international cooperation and external research funding. Some supervision and teaching in Mathematics is possible to enhance academic career and the research base in Mathematics at Mälardalen University.
Qualification requirements
The applicant should have a PhD degree in Mathematics, and the relevant academic skills for research in the fields of non-commutative geometry and non-commutative algebraic structures including experience in research on hom-algebra structures and relevant generalizations of Lie algebras documented in PhD thesis or other publications.
To be qualified for the appointment, the applicant must have demonstrated strong motivation for research, good verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to cooperate in research and disseminate research findings.

Merit
Merit is attached to
• a research background in the field of hom-Lie algebra structures and relevant quantum deformations and generalizations of Lie algebras. The applicant should describe current own competence, relevant interests and vision of research and cooperation on hom-Lie algebra structures for next two years.
• Ongoing active international cooperation documented in collaborative publications in the field.
• PhD degree obtained within 5 years period before the application deadline can be a merit under condition of subsequent active research in the field of hom-Lie algebras and related generalizations of Lie algebras documented in publications.
