Job description
We are now recruiting a Researcher who has a genuine interest in researching new and innovative solutions as well as a strong drive and ability to implement ideas in working prototypes. You have a drive to be at the forefront of technology and are likely already now participating in open source development projects or similar. Distributed systems techniques are probably a key interest area for you.
We work in teams with a high degree of individual responsibility and authority. You will be leading master thesis students and should have an ambition to take on smaller projects over time. You will be exposed to a wide variety of tasks and will interact with other research organizations and customers.
CDN and Cloud Computing Research is part of the global Research Area Packet Technology and works in joint projects tight together with researchers in Finland, Hungary, Montreal and San José. We always operate in the forefront of technology!
Qualifications
You should have:
Solid competence in Computer Science and Programming
Hands on Experience from Developing Distributed Systems
Solid knowledge in functional programming
Good knowledge of at least 3 different programming languages
Experience in writing scentific papers
You should also have:
A fresh PhD exam or MSc degree with a few years of experience.
An ability and interest to lead thesis workers
An ability to take own initiative and result oriented
Excellent skills in English (written and spoken)
Excellent communication and co-operation skills
