Background
The position is located at Man-Technology-Environment research centre (MTM) at the group of Metabolomics and exposomics. The research at MTM focuses on applied research on chemicals in the environment. The research at Metabolomics and exposomics group is focused on the development of novel analytical and computational tools for metabolomics and exposome research, and applying them in the investigations of human health and disease, to investigate the links between environmental factors and human health.
We seek a researcher within the field of metabolomics and exposome research. The research is linked to several ongoing research projects. The main overarching theme of these projects is investigations of the links between exposure to environmental chemicals and the pathogenesis of metabolic and immune-mediated diseases, as well as brain-related diseases. The tasks include methodological developments in both laboratory as well as data processing, identification and data analysis.

The researcher should have a strong background in the field of analytical chemistry and in metabolomics and exposomics. The successful candidate should have experience in on LC-MS and GC-MS techniques with experience in both targeted and non-targeted analyses. Ideally, the candidate would have knowledge of lipidomics/metabolomics/biochemistry/environmental analyses as well as practical experience in advanced MS techniques using high resolution MS. Experience in data analysis, statistical methods and bioinformatics is an advantage. Good oral and written communication skills in English are mandatory.
