Publiceringsdatum2022-10-19ArbetsuppgifterWe are seeking a highly motivated researcher to work with genomic analyses within a
research project to investigate the evolutionary biology of bowerbirds using comparative genomics. The principal task is to participate in analyses of genomic data, with special focus on comparative genomics, population and landscape genomics, as well as genomic selection and adaptation.
This is a part time position, 25 %, and we have funding for this position within this research project until 2024-12-31.
KvalifikationerQualifications
We are looking for a cooperative, structured and enterprising researcher with a PhD in biology. A record of scientific achievement in comparative genomics is a requirement, including previous experience in population and landscape genomics, as well as analyses of genetic selection. Thourough knowledge about methods and tools used for genomic analyses, experience of working in a UNIX environment and considerable experience of publishing genomic analyses are requirements as well.
It is meritorious to have previous experience of working on avian genomics, bioinformatic analyses using the R package and thourough knowledge about methods and tools used for transcriptomics, penotypic adaptaion and biogeography.
