Research and graduate education at the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Niology comprises a wide scientific field from the atomic and molecular levels all the way through cells to intact organisms. Much of the phenomena studied here impact on our natural environment and living systems. We participate in undergraduate programs in chemistry, molecular biology, medicinal chemistry, biology, marine sciences, and pharmacy.
Westenhoff's and Maj's research teams works to resolve structural dynamics of proteins and chemical reactions. We use femtosecond spectroscopy, time-resolved x-ray scattering and crystallography
Job assignments
Building a setup for transient 2DIR spectroscopy and performing transient 1DIR and 2DIR experiments on photosensor proteins. You will be part of Westenhoff's and Maj's research teams.
Qualifications
To qualify as a researcher, the applicant must have completed a Swedish doctoral degree or must have a foreign degree corresponding to a Swedish doctoral degree.
We are looking for a person who has expertise in femtosecond, visible and infrared spectroscopy, has expertise in advanced data analysis of 2D and 1D time-resolved data, has practical experience in designing and constructing optical setups for infrared femtosecond pulses, and has proven scientific excellence in the research field of physical chemistry.
