hela Sverige In Evolved Packet Core research we focus on network functions like mobility and policy control to achieve truly converged networks. In Ericsson products those functions are found in e.g Packet Core products.
Job description
We are now recruiting a Researcher who has a genuine interest in creating prototypes within the area of IP and Mobile Networking. We use prototypes to visualize research ideas, demonstrate research results and as proof-of concept. You will be working in teams with our experienced researchers. This will provide you ample opportunities to grow professionally. Our prototypes are also used for creating standard specifications for IETF mobility work groups and sometimes used for interoperability testing.
We work in small teams with a high degree of individual responsibility and authority. Your individual design will have a big impact in the success of our prototype development. You will over time be exposed to a wide variety of tasks and will interact with other research organizations and customers.
Evolved Packet Core Research is part of the global Research Area Packet Technology and works in joint projects tight together with researchers in Finland, Hungary, Montreal and San José. We always operate in the forefront of technology!
Qualifications
Good understanding of object oriented programming
Excellent knowledge and substantial experience of programming in C/C++ including use of templates.
Experience of using an managing Linux environments
Knowledge and experience of Linux kernel development (e.g protocol implementations)
Experience of hands on configuration of IP network
Good knowledge of at least 3 different programming languages
