AMEXCI AB is a joint venture R&D company between eleven Swedish industrial companies. Our goal is to accelerate the industrial use of Additive Manufacturing (Industrial 3D printing) by raising awareness of this technology and support our customers in their journey to adopt Additive Manufacturing and stay competitive.
AMEXCI's founders are: ABB, Atlas Copco, Electrolux, FAM, Husqvarna Group, Höganäs, Saab, Scania, SKF, Stora Enso and Wärtsilä.
AMEXCI supports its customers to develop their products using Additive Manufacturing as an enabler for higher performance and shorter lead times, to mention some of the advantages. At our labs we offer pilot production, development of parameters and procedures using state-of-the-art industrial equipment in Karlskoga, Sweden.
AMEXCIs R&D Department is currently looking for a strong candidate to join our team as a Researcher.

The Job:
You will be part of the R&D team and report directly to the Head of Technology
You will take part in customer projects as well as public funded projects and will have a relevant role within them
You will use your knowledge to advise on material choices and work closely with the designers and application engineers during the development phase of products
You will have direct contact with customers within project discussions and during educational courses
You will work closely with our metallurgists and participate in activities related to our materials lab, such as mechanical testing and quality assurance
Qualifications
You hold a Master of science degree in engineering, material science or similar
You have at least 2 years of experience as a researcher, preferably with a polymer background
You have a structured way of working, can work independently when required and are not afraid to take initiatives for improving the work.
You are motivated and eager to learn continuously.
It is necessary that you as a person have analytical skills, comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment and always strives to deliver according to time plan.
Previous experience in additive manufacturing, mechanical testing, quality assurance or lab-work is a plus
You have excellent English communication skills and you are comfortable with technical writing.
