In the security research team, we develop and drive research on security for 5G and future 6G networks. This is done predominately through:
Defining, prototyping, and standardization of security solutions for future mobile networks.
Engaging in academic collaborations to leverage on state-of-the-art academic research.
Work in close collaboration with Ericsson business areas and extend dialogue externally.
Engaging in external projects.
The primary role of the Security Researcher is to strengthen the security domain in ongoing 6G related research as well as 5G/6G standardization activities.
What you will do
Do research in an international team of world-class researchers with different backgrounds and experiences.
Develop novel security solutions and concepts for 5G evolution and 6G.
Secure innovations (IPRs)
Contribute to the Ericsson Standardization program. Participate and drive Security Standardization as a delegate and/or back-office driver for 3GPP SA3 and IETF.
Write own standardization contributions in your area of responsibility, in collaboration with senior researchers.
Represent Ericsson in external fora such as standardization, university collaborations, and customer meetings.
Manage and contribute to industry-related interactions and engagements with Ericsson Product Lines, Development Units, Customer Units and ecosystem partners.
Report to Security Research Leader.
You will bring
MSc. degree or equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Preferably with a specialization towards Networking and Communication.
Excellent knowledge of Mobile Networks and industry understanding
Excellent skills in network security.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Outstanding networking, collaboration, communication and innovation skills with high energy and motivation.
Excellent analytical thinking with a high ability to understand and drive technical solutions.
Proven skills from working with security in mobile networks and experience of security standardization, is extra valued.
