Job Description

Wireless Access Networks is a unit at Ericsson Research, with the mission to develop world-leading algorithms, protocols and architecture solutions for current and future wireless access networks and mobile systems. This will make the visions of the Networked Society and the Internet of Things (IoT) turn into reality.
As a researcher you will participate in advanced research project teams developing new concepts and technologies for 5G NR and LTE evolution radio networks and/or short range radio networks. You will invent new features and evaluate their performance for different deployments and spectrum scenarios using state-of-the-art radio network system simulators and test-beds. You may participate in international standardization and regulation in, for example, 3GPP, IEEE, Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, CEPT, and ITU-R, in the development of solutions targeting competitive Ericsson radio access products, and/or in long-term research projects in collaboration with universities, our customers and our competitors.

You, as the successful candidate for the role:

Your qualifications:

Masters or PhD degree in Wireless Communications, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or similar technical field; newly graduated or possibly with some work experience, where experience from standardization related work is a plus.

Your abilities:

Strong analytical skills, eagerness to find innovative solutions to complex problems.
Sound understanding of digital and wireless communications, cellular systems design, and computer simulations.
Good programming skills.
Can take initiatives, strong personal drive.
Like to work in an environment where you cooperate closely in a diverse team of colleagues, together striving to fulfil common targets.
Can communicate with people and find it easy to explain your findings and knowledge to others.
