We are now looking for a Research Engineer to build technology competence to ensure technology leadership and profitable business for Ericsson. At Ericsson Research you will contribute to the Ericsson technology strategy and be part of a team that develop novel concepts, solutions, and algorithms.
What you will do
As a researcher in the Systems and Active Circuits group you will participate in research projects developing new hardware and software technologies for future 6G wireless transport networks. At Ericsson Research you will invent and implement new concepts for wireless communication supporting very high capacity. We work in an international environment and you will engage in customer demonstration events and in European Union funded research projects.
Perform, document and communicate research studies, measurements or computer simulations,
Create new technical solutions and protect them with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR),
Represent Ericsson in external fora such as university collaborations, supplier, and customer meetings,
Supervise and mentor other researchers,
Influence Research strategies,
Develop evaluation tools, demonstrators, or test beds,
Innovate.
You will bring
We are seeking candidates having strong qualifications in one or several of the below areas:
High-speed digital signal processing in ASICs or FPGAs,
Microwave/RF integrated circuit design in GaN, GaAs, InP, SiGe, or CMOS,
Semiconductor device physics and/or fabrication.
The preferred qualification is a Ph.D. in any of the above areas or a M.Sc. with equivalent proven experience and publications. To be successful in the role any of the following skills will be valuable:
Motivated to carry out a wide variety of tasks with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment,
Hands-on experience from working in a lab environment,
Deep understanding of RF IC Transceiver architectures, system design and tradeoffs, both in devices and base stations,
Experience in system level simulations (Matlab, Simulink, Python, or similar),
Experience from implementing machine-learning algorithms,
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
