hela Sverige Take this opportunity to join our Device Software Research team in securing Ericssons research in wireless communication consumer devices. We are looking for an innovative colleague with interest in research and technology that lays in the future.
About this opportunity
You will be joining a forward looking research team that pushes the boundaries in the wireless communication consumer devices domain to ensure technology leadership for Ericsson. We are exploring the future and working with what is to come for devices like mobile phones and VR/AR.
We are a highly motivated and multi-disciplinary team of researchers, welcoming you who are curious about being deeply involved in research projects where you define and perform research studies, experiment, build prototypes, and create novel technical solutions in the spatial media domain covering AI-based media coding, compression, processing, and transport.
What you will do
Contributing to Ericsson research activities.
Developing novel spatial media concepts, solutions, and algorithms for next generation consumer devices such as mobile devices, wearables, AR/VR glasses, robots, drones, etc.
Communicating research results by presenting studies, prototypes, concept demonstrations, publications, and patent applications.
Participate in innovation workshops.
Develop Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Work in a dynamic department with opportunities for learning, taking on new responsibilities, and impacting our ways of working.
You will bring
A strong curiosity and innovative mentality.
A self-propelled inner drive to investigate, experiment, innovate, and build new solutions.
Experience in AR/VR topics, technologies, projects, and research studies.
Experience in AI-based media processing algorithms.
Solid programming skills; Python, C++, etc.
Strong communication skills.
A PhD with work experience in relevant technical area or similar experience from industry could be beneficial.
