hela Sverige RISE Energy- and Environmental Systems Analysis is growing within the field of analysis and modelling of complex energy systems.
We work with research and innovation to enable the transition towards a sustainable energy system and the development of a bio-based economy. In close cooperation with academia, business, NGO:s and the public sector we apply a systems approach to energy issues related to e.g. sustainable urban planning, electricity, heating, mobility, conversion of biomass and policy. Key areas of our business are analysis and modelling of complex energy systems, bio-based value chains and interactions between the energy system and other social functions. Our projects span from shorter assignments to large national and international research projects.

We are now looking for a senior researcher with expertise in modelling and analysis of complex energy systems and this position will be located in Gothenburg.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a doctoral degree and preferably some years of experience from working with energy systems analysis. You should have good knowledge in and practical experience of performing energy systems analysis on different kinds of technical systems, at a high system level. Experience of tools and methods for techno-economic analysis and resource analysis is also required. Interest or experience in working with policies related to energy as well as with data analysis is a plus. You have analytical skills, are well-organized and are motivated by developing projects and research ideas in relation to modelling. You get things done, are efficient and result-oriented, enjoy networking and can quickly establish contacts. You are also proficient in English and preferably in Swedish and used to working independently.
