In joining us, you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. In this role you will:
partner x-functionally with cell designers, materials engineers and AI researchers in the creation of groundbreaking technologies across products.
help build and apply innovative artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to address top cutting-edge challenges.
will be part of a fast moving and innovative team, where your expertise to drive ML/AI projects will impact the future of Northvolt.
Play the role of x-functional and intra-company "glue" to drive stakeholders towards alignment of goals, and incentives and enable sustainable success and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
You will lead efforts to create and maintain a roadmap, while keeping the team focused on the critical path.
You will lead efforts to communicate progress and key results to internal partners and stakeholders via presentations, documentation and web technologies (Confluence and JIRA).
Gather and communicate project status and metrics clearly to leadership and executive team.
You will drive cross-functional teams to build, enhance and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models.
Help Communicate AI/ML Best Practices Collaborate with other Northvolt teams to promote cross-team technology sharing.
Work with researchers, internal and external partners (University Labs) to define, create, and acquire datasets that can drive innovation
Ensure project reporting practices (e.g. wiki templates/content, status update methods) are effective and efficient
Willingness to travel to our various manufacturing sites within Europe and United States.

Skills & Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
5+ years experience in Program Management of complex engineering projects,
MS/PhD in Engineering (EE/ChemE/MechE), Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science
Experience working with Program management principles and documentation tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
Experience in driving Machine Learning projects with diverse teams.
Basic programming experience in Python (incl. sklearn, numpy, pandas, plotly). Experience with ML tools experience is a plus (Pytorch, Tensorflow)
Willing to relocate to Stockholm, Sweden (relocation support including visa will be provided)
Preferred Qualifications
General understanding of Li-ion battery modeling, and cell design parameters. Knowledge in detailed battery modeling and electrochemistry is a plus.
Experience with data-scarce ML techniques (e.g.: Self-Supervised Learning, Contrastive Learning, Knowledge Distillation, Transfer Learning, etc.)
Manufacturing Data Analysis (factories, control systems) experience is a plus
Strong skills in program management
