The Department of Industrial Product Development, Production and Design conducts education and research in areas such as product development, production development and industrial design. The department is responsible for five educational programs at Campus in Jönköping. In addition, the department is responsible for two education programs in Nässjö and Värnamo. The department has a strong engagement in the development of research and education within Knowledge Intensive Product Realisation which is a strategic area at Jönköping University.
We are looking for a Research Fellow for the project IDEAL
JOB DESCRIPTION
The main focus of the position is to conduct research in the KK-founded research project IDEAL with the target to improve the integration between product and production platforms by digitalization. It will involve finding and evaluating new ways of using and integrating software and data sources.

This position involves programming and scripting together with theoretical experience in relevant field.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible for this position a degree of doctor in machine design, product development, integrated product- and production development, computer science or similar, is required. A research background in product development, engineering design or computational science related topic, is also a requirement.
A valid driving license is a requirement to be able to carry out research together with the industry. Jönköping University has a clear international character, which also requires good written and communicative ability in English, especially academic writing. Written and communicative skills in Swedish is considered a merit.
Further competences that are considered meritorious are:
- knowledge in production preparation
- testing and verification
- industrial experience
- pedagogical experience

TERMS
The position is a temporary employment of 100%, starting June 1st, 2022, or as agreed upon.
The employment is planned for the duration of the IDEAL project which ends September 30th, 2023.
Collective agreements and individual salary setting are applicable.
