MAX IV is a national large-scale research laboratory providing scientists from Sweden and the rest of the world with instruments for research in areas such as materials science, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually. 200 people are currently employed at the MAX IV Laboratory.
Tasks
The candidate will be working with radiation safety related personnel safety systems in the Safety group and with PLC and software development in Engineering.
The tasks related to the radiation safety related personnel safety systems include:
• Design and validation of new radiation safety related personnel safety systems.
• Design and validation of upgrades of radiation safety related personnel safety systems.
• Performing annual function check of all radiation safety related personnel safety systems.
The tasks related to PLC and software development include:
• Function description of the PLC systems.
• Programming of PLC system for radiation safety related personnel systems.
• Performing programming in Python for the PLC group.
Qualifications
The candidate has a university degree of relevance for the position, like Physics or Programming. The candidate must have documented experience in:
• Working with radiation safety at a large scale facility.
• Working with radiation safety related personnel safety systems.
• Programming in Python language.
• Ability to work in a team, good communication skills, and a good command of English.
