Arbetsuppgifter: The bioinformatican will handle research projects mainly linked to scientific groups associated to Plant Resistance Biology and Plant Biotechnology. One overall aim is by analysis of gene networks and pathways create robust models with high predictive value by linking sequence information as well as protein expression and modifications to phenotypic characters in the lab and the field (field-omics). Integrating different types of data for analysis and visualisation will be an important task. This position is part of SLUs bioinformatics effort and this person will be in a network of Professor Örjan Carlborgs group in Uppsala and Plant Link, a newly formed collaboration between SLU and Lund University. The position will be based in SLU Alnarp, but some time might be spent in Uppsala as well.
