The group uniquely combines theory and deep systems knowledge to create AI-enabled networking infrastructures. We offer a creative research environment with possibilities to use our testbed of programmable nodes (USRPs and 10Gb/s NICs) for experimentation and validation of research results. Our work is fundamental for ensuring sustainable networking infrastructures and future digitalized services at large scale.We currently have one open position suitable for an M.Sc. engineer with interest of advancing his/her career within ICT research. As a Network Intelligence research engineer, you will develop expertise to design intelligent control mechanisms for AI-enabled networking systems in national and European projects. The position is a first step towards an industrial or academic research career (towards a licentiate or doctoral degree) and an opportunity to combine theory and systems into practically working prototypes.Who are you? Qualifying applicants are required to have a M.Sc. in computer science, electrical engineering or similar with knowledge in distributed and networked systems (wired/wireless) and theoretical frameworks, such as optimization, numerical analysis, statistical analysis, signal processing or machine learning. Meriting qualifications encompass excellent programming skills (e.g. C/C++, Python, R, or similar); and/or experience in software-defined networking or software-defined radio; and/or experience in using platforms such as Spark, TensorFlow, or similar. Further qualifications will be assessed with respect to the applicant's proficiency in English and presentation skills, along with other professional experiences, educational background and organizational skills.About the employmentPrimary location is in Kista, Stockholm, Sweden.
