What You'll Do
You will, as part of R&D, contribute to the development of new products which are used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs. You will also take active part in trouble shooting of existing Cytiva processes. The Uppsala Cytiva site is a workplace for more than 1200 persons including in addition to R&D also functions as manufacturing, marketing, quality control and QA. Cross-functional activities in collaboration with other units will represent an important part of work responsibilities.
This position is temporary and has a strong focus on synthesis work in lab scale and hence the person suited for this opening should enjoy working in a chemistry lab.
More specifically will your tasks include:
• Perform experimental work within the area of surface/polymer/organic chemistry
• Perform primary characterization
• Independently plan and accomplish given tasks from Managers, to reach given project objectives
• Document and report results both orally and written
Who you are
QUALIFICATION /REQUIREMENTS
• MSc or equal experience in chemistry
• 1 or 2 years' work experience in relevant fields
• Documented laboratory experience
• Delivery focus
• Structured and organised team player
• Good interpersonal skills
• English and Swedish as working languages
DESIRED :
• Experience of work with polysaccharides
• Experience from emulsification work
• Experience from development of gel filtration media
