We are a biotech startup looking for a passionate and dedicated Research Engineer to join our team. As a research engineer, you will play a key role in our strain engineering team and be responsible for designing and optimizing microbial strains for the production of high-value bioproducts.
Responsibilities:
Design and optimize microbial strains for the production of high-value bioproducts
Conduct genetic engineering experiments using CRISPR/Cas9 and other molecular biology techniques
Analyze and interpret data from experiments
Collaborate with other members of the team to develop new and innovative strategies for strain engineering
Keep up to date with the latest advancements in the field of strain engineering
Requirements:
Minimum Master's Degree in Molecular Biology or equivalent
Strong knowledge of molecular biology and microbial genetics
Experience with genetic engineering techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be able to work full-time, starting ASAP, in our Lund-based lab
