Role Summary:
We are looking for a research engineer, experienced in bacterial cell culture, fermentation and process development, to join our creative and collaborative team, within the Section of Protein & Viral Production, BioProcess R&D. Our mission is to develop reagents, consumables, processes and services to support effective and reproducible processes for getting a biologics drug to the market.
Essential Responsibilities:
You will be part of a team optimizing start-to-finish processes for production of antibodies and viral vectors and cell line development.
• Design, perform, analyze, document and present bioreactor fermentation of affinity ligands in different formats, from lab scale to bioreactors
• Develop, invent and improve new products and processes for the bioprocess industry, specifically within the fields of affinity ligands
• Provide molecular biology support to projects, from construct optimization to hands-on cloning
Qualifications/Requirements:
• MSc in biology, medicine, engineering (or related Life Science field) or equivalent knowledge/experience
• Experience in bacterial cell culturing in different formats, including bioreactor cultivation, experience in industrial scale microbial cultivation is a plus
• Experience in culture and process development for production of recombinant proteins
• Experience in multiple analysis formats
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and design
• Occasional work on weekends may occur
