We are looking for a Research Engineer, experienced in cell culture, vaccines/viral vectors, analytics and process development, to join our creative and collaborative team, within the Section of Protein & Viral Production, BioProcess R&D. Our mission is to develop reagents, consumables, processes and services to support effective and reproducible processes for getting a biologics drug to the market.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be part of a team optimizing start-to-finish processes for production of antibodies and viral vectors and cell line development.Responsibilities:
design, perform, analyze, document and present mammalian cell culture experiments in different formats: adherent, suspension, lab scale to bioreactors
develop, invent and improve new products and processes for the bioprocess industry, specifically within the fields of cell line development and production of proteins, vaccines and viral vectors
perform transfection, infection and transduction of mammalian cells
operate and support FACS-based methods
provide molecular biology support to projects

Qualifications/Requirements:
MSc in biology, medicine, engineering or related Life Science field
experience in mammalian cell culturing in different formats (well plates, flasks, spinners and bioreactors) and different cell types (suspension, adherent, primary, stem cells)
experience in culture and process development for production of proteins, vaccines and viral vectors
experience in multiple analysis formats, specifically methods related to vaccine/viral vector production
experience in molecular biology techniques desired
occasional work on weekends may occur
