We are looking for a research engineer, experienced in cell culture and process development, to join our innovative team, within the Section of Processes & Applications, BioProcess R&D. This is a temporary position until May 2018.
Essential Responsibilities:
The section responsibility is to drive projects and activities related to the upstream area. Projects includes working with small scale cultures, scale up in fermentors and bioreactors (stainless steel and single use systems), system verification & validation. The team is approximately 11 people. To develop and run processes we need a person that will focus on cell ceulture applications.
• Plan, perform and document line and project work independently within cell culture
• Be part of a team responsible for day-to-day activities in the cell culture lab
• Execute practical work related to cell culture processes from thawing/freezing, cell maintenance, seed and scale up to reach given objectives.
• Perform cell culture in bioreactors.
• Independently report accomplished tasks in writing or orally in both Swedish and English
Qualifications/Requirements:
• BMA or equal experience in biotechnology
• Significant experience from cell culture in flasks and bioreactors
• Excellent communication skills
• Occasional work on weekends may occur

• In order to succeed in this position you need to be a flexible team player with a strong collaborative attitude, focusing on the customer needs.
• We are looking for someone with the drive and capability to initiate, plan, perform, document and present results to progress our projects forward.
• Experience in cell culturing in bioreactors is advantageous.
