As a Research Engineer Hygiene & Odor, you will be responsible for executing research activities to meet the consumer and business needs. You will further act as an expert and advisor in the hygiene and odor area in projects as well as to colleagues in our Global Hygiene Category team and business groups.
This position is a parental leave temporary contract, located in Mölndal.
Main Tasks
You drive or participate in Research, R&D enabling projects, Innovation projects and/or Business Unit projects. This can be as a consultant or as a project team member
For the hygiene and odor area you will secure that the right expert input, methods and technology selection is available at the right stage of a project/activity
It is your responsibility to actively provide the team and the organization with knowledge pertaining to the hygiene and odor area
You build and maintain a broad and deep competence and knowledge
Participate in assigned patent activities
You build your external network/recognition (i.e. external exposure of SCA to build both the reputation of good research at SCA and a network for futurecollaborations)
Key Competencies
University degree (minimum MSc) or equivalent within the Hygiene & Odour area (e.g. hygiene, microbiology, biology, medicine, chemistry or similar)
Profound knowledge in the microbiological area, preferred within hygiene and odor, including relevant products and technologies
Good understanding of the way of working from consumer insight to launch.
Understanding of claims and claims substantiation, from both a legal andregulatory affairs perspective
International exposure
Ability to travel
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build constructive andeffective relationships and networks at relevant levels both internally and externally
Fluent in English, both oral and written capabilities
