We are looking for a Research Engineer to support the organisation around processing of biopharma molecules. The role will focus on process economy and design for complete processes. The department consists of approximately 80 people divided into 5 sections, and is responsible for research and development of BioProcess resins as well as applications related to all parts of downstream Bioprocessing.
Essential Responsibilities:
The role as Research Engineer is placed in the Bioprocess Applications section and the team is focused on application work related to sales and market support and new product introductions for vaccines, recombinant proteins and plasma. This is a permanent position.The mission of R&D is to provide a steady stream of new products to meet and solve the challenges of our customers as well as supporting customers and the sales and marketing organisation. This role includes project and line activities with a main focus on Biopharma process understanding and calculations that will support both new product introductions, market support and sales supportIn this role you will:
As part of a team, plan and deliver the team's commitments
Collect data, perform calculations and develop calculation tools
Perform laboratory investigations
• on your own or as a team
• through planning, execution and analysis of results
Take part in defining customer needs and verifying them

Qualifications/Requirements:
Master?s degree from relevant life science discipline e.g. Mol. Biotechnology or equal
Knowledge about protein separation using chromatography and filtration.
Good skills in calculation software, excel, matlab etc.
Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
Structured and organized team player with good interpersonal skills
Good ability to work in teams as well as independently
Flexible and good track record to deliver according to deadlines
Curious and interested in learning new techniques
English and Swedish as working languages.
Desired Characteristics:
Experience using GE Healthcare products is a merit.
Relevant industrial experience
Knowledge & experience from product development and/or working in projects
Experience of lab work and troubleshooting
Proven ability of planning, executing and evaluating experiments
