Role Summary/Purpose:
The Consumables Upstream & ReadyToProcess department is expanding into the area of customized cell culture media development and is setting up a dedicated group to work in this area. The work will be in close collaboration with GE Healthcare R&D Logan (USA) and other functions locally and globally.

Essential Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Research engineer in the Application section. Responsible for maintaining inventory of laboratory consumables, assisting in routine laboratory procedures and maintaining equipment in functional state. This position is mostly hands-on working in the labs.
Main responsibilities:
• To independently execute and document tasks assigned by Project Manager or Section Manager to reach given project objectives
• To independently problem solve and troubleshoot issues to enable project progress
• The work involves international contacts as well as a close relation with other departments/sections within the company
Qualifications/Requirements:
• MLS or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of general laboratory techniques
• Experience from cell culture work, and biological assays.
• English and Swedish as a working language
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong computer skills and ability to work in both common lab/office software plus specific internal systems
• EU work permit
