Key Responsibilities
Analyze and study various areas of wireless communications
Deliver research results in said areas
File patent applications to protect the research results
Promote the research results internally
Promote the research results, either by representing Sony in international standardization organizations, or by supporting other Sony standardization delegates that attend such organizations
Skills required for this position
MSc (or higher) degree in a field pertaining to wireless communications
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Innovative mindset
Team player
Fluent in written and spoken English
Understanding of the wireless industry
Project management skills
Key difficulties expected in this job
Perform relevant research. Assistance in identifying research topics that reach beyond the state of the art, and generate new IP and value to Sony.
Work with relevant research partners. Assistance in identifying e.g. academic partners and external projects that stimulate our research.
Internal networking. Assistance in identifying internal peers to support the research.
