SEED is an R&D organization within Electronic Arts whose purpose is to research and develop the future of interactive entertainment and games. Our areas of research include virtual and augmented reality, how to build the game worlds of the future, procedural content generation, and deep learning, i.e. neural networks and other machine learning techniques applied to game AI and game design. We collaborate with game franchises like Battlefield, Mass Effect, Need for Speed and Dragon Age, as well as games such as Star Wars: Battlefront, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst and EA Sports FIFA. SEED is looking for a Research Engineer with a specialization in deep learning. We are currently focusing on deep reinforcement learning and generative models. What skills is SEED looking for? As a Research Engineer working in the deep learning team we expect you to have a passion for the subject. Signs of passion can be: Arxiv.org is your favorite web site You spend your evenings tuning your GAN code in Pytorch or TensorFlow. Hyperparameter mysteries keep you awake at night If that's the case, continue reading. We think that you are an open and curious person who is eager to learn and teach. You get a kick out of taking bleeding-edge machine learning techniques, investigating and adapting them to real use cases for gaming and interactive entertainment. We work in small teams, and we expect you to not only to take initiative, but also work hands-on in our projects.
We also think you have: Expert knowledge in machine learning and/or reinforcement learning, PhD or similar level of experience, focusing on deep neural networks, convolutional networks, recurrent networks and generative models Math skills; you know your calculus, linear algebra, optimization and probability theory Software engineering skills, you know Python and C++ or C# The ability to read, understand, and explain to others, scientific papers on state-of-the-art machine learning and computer science, as well as the ability to prototype, evaluate and improve the ideas described What's in it for you?
