hela Sverige We are looking for several experienced research engineers to strengthen our ?Environmental Perception? team. Depending on your background, your level of experience and expertise your job will be to:
Contribute to technology scooting and planning
Conduct applied research and technology development to offer mature technologies to be used in higher level active safety and automation systems
Contribute to technology development projects
The two main specific areas of our ?Environmental Perception? team we want to strengthen are:
1/ Vehicle environmental perception and positioning
Develop the perception system to meet the functional requirements
Radars, Lidars, Cameras with image processing and related technologies
AI and deep learning based perception systems
Vehicle positioning and route planning e.g. GPS, digital maps, eHorizon
Specification & requirements
Vehicle integration & testing
Data logging and analysis
Specific tasks:
Development of strategies and a sensor platform that meets the functional requirements
Fruitful cooperation with supplier and partners
Vehicle integration, testing and analysis
Create and execute verification and validation plans based on simulation and physical tests
2/ Environmental perception data Fusion
Fuse and synchronize data from different sensors
Environnemental perception sensors (e.g. Radars, Lidars, Cameras)
Vehicle state sensors e.g. speed and accelerometers
Human Machine Interface sensors
Tasks:
Development of fusion strategies for the sensor fusion platform
Algorithm development
AI and deep learning based fusion logic
Implementation in our embedded prototype systems e.g. C , matlab, Simulink
Create and execute verification and validation plans based on simulation and physical tests
The perception platform is of key importance for our development of active safety and vehicle automation functionalities, it will be used in several different application projects (Active Safety and Vehicle Automation).
This technology domain is a growing area where the R&D efforts will continue to grow during the coming years; the room for personal development and growth will be good. You will have opportunity to lead research and technology development projects and work in an international environment in the forefront of automotive research. Beside the internal projects we often lead and/or participate in national or international R&D projects together with suppliers, other OEM?s, Universities and research institutes across Europe.
Experience and qualifications:
You have a master degree or PhD in Engineering Physics, Signal processing, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or similar.
You have a positive attitude and the willingness and ability to take initiatives to progress and deliver. Leadership skills and abilities will be highly valued.
You have a strong technical background, experience and interest in one or more of the following areas. Management experience will be welcome too.
Advanced automotive environmental sensors, e.g. as radar, lidar or vision system
Data fusion, tracking, filtering design and other signal processing methods
System and software development in Simulink, Matlab and/or C/C++
Rapid prototyping of SW e.g. dSpace, xPC, embedded coder and other related tools
General and practical experience of truck technology
