We are looking for a Research Chemist to work in the area of Lubricants & Fuels applications. This is a permanent position within the Lubricants & Fuels Technical Service & Product Development (TS&d) team, based in Stenungsund Sweden. For the right person there are great possibilities to develop within AkzoNobel.
The Lubricants & Fuels segment develops and markets additives for lubricants and fuels. Our customers are located all over the world. Our main goal is to create value to our customers by proving innovative and cost-effective technical solutions and products.
In this role you enjoy practical laboratory work and solve technical problems in a creative way. You design, execute and evaluate experiments and trials, connected to assigned technical activities and projects.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Report results and give technical recommendations, internally and externally
• Customer visits and hold presentations at customers and conferences
• Manage research projects and deliver on time and on budget
• Internal R&D work and supporting sales and marketing in customer driven projects
Job requirements / Candidate profile
• MSc or PhD in Organic Chemistry or Engineering
• Be able to travel about 20-25% of your worktime
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Be able to work independently as well as within a group
• It is desirable if you have experience in industry
• If you have experience with formulating and testing lubricant and fuel additives it is an advantage.
