The position is full time and temporary for 6 months with start immediately according to agreement.
Duties
We are looking for a research assistant that will perform experimental work in on-going research projects. We are currently evaluating the genotoxic effects of oxygenated PAHs and their interactions with PAHs in human lung cells and zebrafish embryos. The applicant is expected to independently plan and perform methods for assessing genotoxicity such as Comet assay, Micronucleus assay, Western blotting as well as evaluate the data from the experiments. Apart from laboratory work the research assistant will take part in the unit's internal meetings, and contribute with scientific writing.
Entry requirements
We are looking for a motivated research assistant with a Master of Science degree in Toxicology. Experience performing Comet assay, Micronucleus assay and Western blotting is a requirement; experience from studies of PAHs is a merit. The research assistant must have excellent communication skills in English, a strong background in performing laboratory experiments, an ability to interact scientifically with other members in the laboratory and the research group, and also work both independently and as part of the team.
