The divisions have separate scientific profiles and vary in size and have several research groups, dealing with both basic and clinical science.
Division
Center of Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Karolinska Institutet (KIND).
KIND is a competence center for research, development, and education within the area of developmental psychopathology. The center is established in collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm County Council aiming at improving generating high-end basic research, clinical practice, and spread new knowledge to stakeholders.
Research Group
The research group led by Assistant Professor Kristiina Tammimies (
http://ki.se/en/kind/kind-genomics). The research group is focused on understanding genetic and biological factors associated with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) such as autism spectrum disorder. We perform high-resolution genetic analyses in different NDD cohorts and characterize the findings using bioinformatics approaches and cellular models (such as patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells). We are conducting translational research by combining data from neuropsychology, neuropathology, neuroimaging and environmental factors with the genetic data to understand the biological mechanisms leading to NDDs.
Duties
We are looking for a research assistant to be part of our group. The person will work in many research project and should have excellent knowledge in different molecular biology techniques
The specific duties are:
