The Lopez laboratory, in the Department of Neuroscience at the Karolinska Institutet, has an open position for a Research Assistant to investigate the molecular mechanisms and behavioral correlates, associated with stress-related psychiatric disorders and their treatments.

The project will address the implementation of classical and novel, automated, behavioral tracking systems to deconstruct the behavioral "language" associated with stress exposure and treatment response, using animal models.



Your mission

Suitable candidates should have significant experience working with laboratory animals (mice) and possess excellent knowledge of animal models of stress and anxiety. Good experience with pharmacology and behavioral tests to investigate the effects of antidepressant interventions is required. Computational skills and knowledge of R and Python is a plus. In addition, the candidate should possess FELASA-certified knowledge and skills. Your profile

Qualified to be employed as a research assistant is one who has obtained at least a Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, psychology, pharmacology, or any related field. It is considered as an advantage if you have already completed your Master's degree.
