At the Department of Public Health Sciences, we conduct research, teaching and applied work based on public health science and epidemiology.
The research is aimed at analysing health determinants on the population level, and developing and evaluating preventative structural and individualised measures, including legislation and guidelines. The field also includes health economics, health systems research and implementation research. Our activities have a strongly international flavour, and the Department's researchers are scientific advisers to authorities and other decision-makers on the regional, national and international level. The Department is divided into research groups operating within the fields of global health, public health epidemiology and social medicine with a total of 150 employees. In addition, we have around 65 research students. This position is located in the Global Health: Health Systems and Policy research group
Duties
• Communicate with and assist researchers with research-related tasks
• Update group members on university activities and events
• Administrative work within the group and the specific research such as antibiotic resistance and prevention.
• Efficient and fast data entry, data checking, verification, and analysis of the data
• Generate reports using Stata with various components and variables.
• Update the group website with project details, news and latest publication and assist the group members to update their profiles
• Assist in planning and organization of seminars and events
• Assist the group in any other task as desired
The position is for 1 year with possibility of extension.
Entry requirements
The candidate must have:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field, e.g. economics
• Experience of working in international research collaborations
• Experience of working as research assistant at a Swedish University
• Certification for Web administrator course from KI
• Knowledge of web designing
• Knowledge and experience of working with the statistical program Stata.
• Certified Diploma in Microsoft Office and programming
• Should have excellent skills in reading, writing, and communicating in English
• A large portion of the group's research is conducted in collaboration with researchers in India, therefore it is a requirement to have general knowledge of India from living there at least 12 months. Among other things, this is important in order to be able to know what researchers should be informed about when coming to Sweden or when traveling to India.
