hela Sverige The education in real estate studies at the department has a long tradition of industry collaboration, for example through the Centre for real estate companies, Cfff. The real estate industry is undergoing rapid transformation, both in technical terms but also with knowledge becoming increasingly important. All researchers are expected to contribute to the overall goal to develop an excellent research environment, and actively participate in regular activities such as weekly seminar series and a yearly workshop. Research within real estate studies include housing, land use, appraisal, real estate business and organization.
As a research assistant at the Department of urban studies, you will participate in research projects under the supervision of a group of researchers. The research projects in question involve extensive use of geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial econometrics. As a research assistant, you will assist in developing databases and prepare input material for research projects. You will also play an important role in the layout and graphic design of map works for presentations and publications. The position will also contain a limited amount of teaching, such as assisting in supervision and exercise sessions.
Department of Urban Studies
The Department of Urban studies is a multidisciplinary department with approximately 80 employees and 1000 full-time students. The school's undergraduate education includes studies in real estate management and transactions, urban planning, environmental studies, transport management, architecture, leadership and organization. International education includes a two-year Master's level programme in Urban studies as well as doctoral programmes within the research area Migration, Urbanisation and Societal Change (MUSA). The department is divided into three administrative units; i) Real Estate Studies, ii) The Built Environment and Environmental Studies, and iii) Business Administration, Leadership and Organisation. The position will be at the unit for real estate studies, but teaching can also take place across the whole department.
